We were served by two different waiters during our meal, both of whom were the right balance of friendly and professional. The interior of the restaurant is welcoming with tables laid out, the front is open to the street, so it has a feel of al fresco dining. The curry didn’t quite hit the spot, the chicken tikka pieces were lovely, but the fruity sauce served separately wasn’t to his taste.įor dessert, we swapped menus, Miguel had the chocolate profiteroles from mine and I picked the crepe Suzette from his. He described it as very tasty, beautifully seasoned and good to see something different on the menu. Miguel ordered the prawn and mushroom pancake for his starter, and chicken tikka madras for his main course. For my main course I chose the filet of chicken Tosca, the meat was cooked on the plancha and served with a lovely white wine, cream and mushroom sauce, plus a side dish of potatoes. My choice was the salad “opera” to start, which was huge! It’s a Waldorf style salad with prawns, celery, apple & walnuts served with a mustard mayonnaise.
